Since forming in August 2026, Friends of Mossley Hill Station CIC has been working in partnership with Northern on a range of projects to enhance Mossley Hill Station.
Our work so far includes enhancing the station’s raised planters with seasonal flowers and greenery, creating children’s activity sheets and introducing the community Book Nook.

Raised Planter Work at Mossley Hill Station
We’ve been busy clearing the raised planters, preparing the soil and introducing new seasonal flowers, grasses and bulbs at Mossley Hill Station.
Children’s Activity Sheets
We’ve created a selection of free railway-themed colouring sheets and word searches for younger passengers to enjoy at Mossley Hill Station. These are available from the community Book Nook beside the ticket office.
Community Book Nook
Launched in August 2026 in partnership with Northern, the community Book Nook provides a selection of books for passengers and visitors to enjoy. Located beside the ticket office, everyone is welcome to pick up a book or leave one for others.
